Helzberg Diamonds is filling an Operations Associate position. Operations Associates are members of our Distribution Center Department that is located in our corporate headquarters in North Kansas City, MO. Almost every piece of jewelry that Helzberg customers purchase at one of our over 200 stores, or by way of Helzberg.com passes through our Distribution Center. At the heart of store replenishment stands an Operations Associate.

Operations Associates play a vital role in making sure merchandise moves in and out of the Distribution Center efficiently and ends up getting to where it is needed. Processing replenishment orders, creating pick tickets and shipping manifests, re-stocking and maintaining proper inventory in the merchandise vault are all technical parts of the job, but in the final analysis being an Operations Associate is really all about making special moments possible. Their efforts make it possible for our customers walk into a store to select that cherished wedding ring, that perfect anniversary gift, or that special birthday present. Without our Operations Associates these "I Am Loved" moments don't happen.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

• Pick and consolidate daily replenishment orders for all stores, and audit shipping manifest documentation.
• Receive and audit store to warehouse transfers, repairs and advertising merchandise to re-stock primary bins.
• Audit and verify the accuracy of merchandise processed in the Quality Assurance department.
• Create put away documents and physically re-stock merchandise vault.
• Maintain high degree of inventory integrity by performing cycle count and semi-annual inventories.
• Perform various duties for other work groups in the Distribution Center as needed to support a dynamic and fluid team that contributes to the company mission and strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience working for an enterprise engaged in merchandise distribution that is of similar size, scope, and complexity as the Helzberg Diamonds Distribution Center. Experience working with the shipping and receiving of jewelry merchandise preferred.
• Basic PC and clerical skills, and strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to be very accurate and detailed-oriented and to meet required deadlines.
• Regular, predictable onsite attendance is required to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
