POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst acts as a business and technical liaison for various program requests for the IT Department at Helzberg Diamonds. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements necessary to facilitate ongoing enhancements and technical support. Partners closely with and manages relationships with IT and business teams.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Traditional BA projects as assigned: Meet with key business and technology partners to collect objectives, collaborate and brainstorm with teams to understand, identify, and translate to documented business requirements that will be used to develop site enhancements.
2. Translate concepts into customer flows, journey maps, wireframes, and perform UAT and other testing roles.
3. Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
4. Analyze business and user experience results to identify areas for improvement.
5. Develop and execute improvements within a test and learn environment to better serve external/internal customers and improve financial results.
6. Execute changes for all services within each platform’s administrative tools and dashboards.
7. Work with user-groups to identify and set priorities for future innovation.
8. Facilitate iteration planning, prioritization of stories, monitor progress and backlog management to align with the roadmap.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent does not have any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• One to five years of experience; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred. Will accept an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Disciplined and data driven problem solving.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• PC or MAC literate in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
• Understanding of basic IT and Project Management principles.
