THE DEPARTMENT:
The Information Technology Department is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a secure technology infrastructure to support the Product, People, Promotion, Place and Profit areas of Helzberg Diamonds. It accomplishes this through the design, development and deployment of automated systems to meet the information and process needs of each major line of business: human resources, merchandise, marketing, finance, stores, and E-Commerce. In addition to these lines of business applications, the IT organization is responsible for the collection and correlation of all company electronic information assets into an enterprise Data Warehouse which is used to support the overall analytical and reporting information needs of the business.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Salesforce Architect is responsible for the end‑to‑end architecture, integration, and technical governance of Helzberg Diamonds’ Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau. This role serves as the architectural owner of the Salesforce platform, ensuring that individual clouds work together as a cohesive, scalable, and secure ecosystem that supports customer engagement, commerce, service, analytics, and personalization. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with strong systems thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and architectural leadership.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Salesforce Platform Architecture & Strategy
  • Own the overall architecture and technical vision for Helzberg Diamonds’ Salesforce ecosystem across Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau.
  • Define and maintain cross‑cloud data models, identity strategy, and integration patterns to enable a unified customer experience.
  • Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across Salesforce implementations.
  • Partner with IT leadership to shape the Salesforce roadmap in alignment with business and enterprise architecture strategies.
Cross‑Cloud Integration & Data Strategy
  • Design and govern integrations between Salesforce clouds and surrounding systems (e.g., ERP, POS, data platforms, third‑party services).
  • Partner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure alignment between Salesforce Data Cloud, enterprise data platforms, and analytics tooling.
  • Ensure consistent identity resolution, data quality, and governance across all Salesforce touchpoints.
  • Oversee the use of Tableau for analytics and visualization within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Technical Governance & Delivery Oversight
  • Provide architectural oversight and design review for Salesforce initiatives and enhancements.
  • Guide internal teams and implementation partners on solution design, tradeoffs, and technical decisions.
  • Ensure solutions meet Helzberg Diamonds’ standards for security, scalability, performance, and compliance.
  • Support platform upgrades, new feature adoption, and cloud expansion efforts.
Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders across Customer Service, Marketing, E‑Commerce, and Operations.
  • Translate business needs into scalable platform solutions while managing technical complexity.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Engineering Leads to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
Operational Excellence
  • Support incident resolution and root‑cause analysis for Salesforce‑related production issues.
  • Drive improvements in platform reliability, observability, and documentation.
  • Contribute to vendor management and partner oversight related to Salesforce implementations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will supervise a team of 2-4 Salesforce Development Team Leads and will be responsible for the following:
  • Accomplish department objectives by directing and monitoring the work progress of direct report.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to direct report.
  • Set expectations, annual goals and provide required quarterly touch base meetings with all direct report.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing multi‑cloud Salesforce architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience with multiple Salesforce clouds, including Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud (CDP).
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, identity resolution, and data synchronization across platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Architect and/or Platform certifications.
  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel customer environments.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP and enterprise data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and analytics enablement within Salesforce.
  • Experience working with vendor‑led and hybrid delivery models.

Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
