SEO Manager

At Helzberg Diamonds, the SEO Manager is responsible for leading, planning, implementing, and managing search engine optimization (SEO) strategy and execution. In this role, you will work closely with technical, product, creative and marketing teams to deliver results. You will conduct audits, technical reviews and in-depth analyses to understand SEO performance, identify issues and test solutions. You will also deliver SEO performance reports, provide actionable insights and communicate the business recommendations to various stakeholders at all levels of the business. This position covers a wide variety of duties such as keyword and landing page fundamentals, performance reporting & optimization, SEO technical analysis, link building, content strategy planning, and web analytics.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Lead SEO efforts to drive Organic Search traffic and revenue increases.
• Identify strategy including targeted keywords, and areas for improvement across technical performance, SEO on-page optimizations, and on-site content (Educational, Advice, Blog).
• Project manage SEO activities across site content, technical development, Marketing, and external agency resources.
• Manage and partner with internal teams and 3rd party agencies.
• Produce & manage keyword research, technical, content, link, reporting and social audits - analysis and documentation.
• Analyze and report on SEO performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes accordingly.
• Develop high level link building strategies.
• Make recommendations regarding optimization or implement directly when appropriate.
• Manage activity and processes required to effectively run SEO & Social SEO campaigns.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and all applicable technologies, including developments in - SEO, analytics, online marketing, E-commerce, search algorithms and online consumer behavior, and altering strategies as needed.
• Expand partnerships with third-party sites and coordinate off-page SEO.
• Create SEO strategies across multiple search engines.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for SEO, effectively communicating performance status to executive level. Prepare and present metrics, reports, and insights.
• Serve as advocate for SEO across the company, working with cross-functional teams to instill SEO best practices, update processes and improve organic search performance.
• Perform SEO audits for technical onsite enhancements, content optimization, and local search.
• Understanding of the complete digital marketing and general marketing approach at Helzberg, ensuring all SEO initiatives are fully supportive of and consistent with multiple channels.
• Assist development and creative teams with implementing technical SEO best practices, such as page speed performance, UX, HTML/CSS tagging, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 or more years of experience focusing on SEO with a strong knowledge of search engine algorithms, marketing analytics and ranking methods, preferably in the retail e-commerce sector.
• Ability to conduct thorough keyword research and develop a keyword strategy that aligns with business goals.
• General eCommerce experience, including management of on-site search and 3rd Party tools (recommendations, reviews) a plus.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with a breadth of on-page and off-page SEO factors, including content considerations, website architecture and performance, HTML, link building, technical SEO, and local SEO (including Google My Business optimizations and listings management).
• Knowledge of technical SEO best practices and optimizations.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills. Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
• Must have the ability to analyze historical results and understand implications for future programs.
• Experience utilizing analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both developers and content creators to accomplish SEO objectives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation, or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
