POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Detail Photographer is responsible for the creation of all macro product imagery for helzberg.com. The PD Photographer will style, light, and shoot multiple angles for each product according to the style guide and specifications provided by the Helzberg creative team. This role will collaborate closely with product coordinator, creative, ecommerce, and retouch team to elevate the ecommerce experience through creation of product imagery. The Photographer is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to prioritize work in support of key marketing and promotional needs. Continuously improve photo department competencies, refine workflow and optimize tools/processes to support the development of highest-quality product images. This position works with teams throughout the organization as well as external agencies to ensure execution is consistent with our brand standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Macro photography and product styling for PDP images for .com.
• Captures multiple focal and lighting brackets and creates composite images.
• Coordinates workflow and provides image retouch direction for external partners.
• Replicates styling and lighting across all images.
• Ensures consistency, image quality, product angles and lighting.
• Ability to capture 360 product images. • Manages photo studio equipment and supplies.
• Ability to style and prop jewelry to capture consistent angles across categories.
• Works as digital tech and responsible for lighting set up.
• Creates base meta tagging and file naming. • Uploads final assets to DAM.
• Generates digital contact sheets.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Product Detail Photographer will supervise external creative retouch teams and workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in photography or a related field, providing a solid foundation for creative design principles.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a macro photographer.
• Strong portfolio that showcases fine jewelry photography.
• Expert in Photoshop and image composition software.
• Experience styling jewelry with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of digital environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for product photography in the ecommerce space.
• Organized, reliable self-starter with strong creative thinking and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
