THE COMPANY:
Helzberg Diamonds is a retail jewelry company that operates over 200 retail stores located in malls and open-air venues across
the United States, and a growing e-commerce site. The company employs over 2,000 full and part-time associates in store
locations and the Store Support Center. The Store Support Center provides centralized information, products, and services to all the stores, while facilitating company innovation, growth and profitability. The stores are organized by geographic divisions, which are sub-divided into regions and districts.
THE DEPARTMENT:
Annually, over 1.5 million pieces of new merchandise (over $500 million retail) is processed by the Distribution Center where it is received, checked for quality assurance, picked, billed and shipped to the stores on a daily basis. Distribution also processes over 150,000 pieces (over $40 million retail) of recalled merchandise that is returned to the manufacturing vendor or returned to the vault for replenishment. The Distribution department is located in a secluded and extremely high-security, metal-free area, and associates must pass through a metal detector when entering or leaving the department.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The position processes the sales transactions generated from the Helzberg Diamonds Internet site, including value-added orders. The incumbent is responsible for the integrity and movement of merchandise being shipped for the fulfillment of customer orders, the proper packaging of the item(s) to be shipped, and the timely and accurate movement of the package to the mailroom. The incumbent also retrieves merchandise from stores to fulfill orders and processes returns of Internet purchases.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Process and pack sales orders generated by the Helzberg Diamonds Internet site.
  2. Ensure that the appropriate materials (i.e., warranties, gift cards, packing slip, etc.) are included in each shipment.
  3. Process value-added transactions (such as sizings) to ensure work done meets specifications.
  4. Work with customer care team to process returns of merchandise purchased from Internet site.
  5. If merchandise is not available in Distribution Center, locate item in a store, work with store to obtain merchandise, and receive and process it through systems properly.
  6. Run and review reports to audit orders.
  7. Provide backup to the supervisor as needed.
  8. Perform various duties for other work groups in the Distribution Center as needed to support a dynamic and fluid team that contributes to the company mission and strategies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent has no direct reports.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL AND EXTERNAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:
The incumbent works with Customer Care, Sales Audit and Information Technology to resolve customer order problems.
The incumbent also interacts with clients via e-mail regarding order issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma required and two to three years distribution or warehouse experience preferred. Strong organizational
skills required, along with the ability to be very accurate and detail-oriented, and to meet deadlines. Good communication skills required, along with the ability to use computer systems. Must work well under pressure during high-volume periods.
