THE COMPANY:
Helzberg Diamonds is a retail jewelry company that operates retail stores located in malls and open-air venues across the United States, and a growing e-commerce site. The company employs full and part-time associates in store locations and the Store Support Center. The Store Support Center provides centralized information, products, and services to all the stores, while facilitating company innovation, growth and profitability. The stores are organized by geographic divisions, which are sub-divided into regions and districts.

THE DEPARTMENT:
The Performance Marketing Department manages all marketing communications for Helzberg Diamonds including TV, direct mail, email and online marketing channels. This team is responsible for increasing brand awareness, driving traffic to our stores and website, increasing lifetime value of our existing customers and gaining market share through acquisition of new customers. The department is a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to creating a consistent message across all tactics and a seamless multi-channel shopping experience for the Helzberg customer.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Data & MarTech Engineer is responsible for leading the strategy of customer data capture, architecture within marketing technology, and advancing the accessibility and usage of customer data to inform marketing campaigns. The Customer Data & MarTech Engineer will be tasked with enabling personalization across marketing channels at scale and increasing the ROI of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CDP platforms. This role will partner internal and external partners across departments at Helzberg to capture the right data, map data to the appropriate channels, and enable reporting for continuous learning and optimization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Source and transform customer and marketing data to enable customer analytics and marketing activation.
  • Ensure that the Salesforce CDP and Market Cloud platforms have the appropriate customer, product, and interaction data required to build best-in-class marketing triggers and campaigns.
  • Maintain email and SMS promotional audience logic that maintains health of programs while growing the subscriber base.
  • Partner with IT on customer data unification and golden record.
  • Automate routine marketing processes and build functionality that reduces reliance on IT resources for common marketing campaigns.
  • Design and manage internal workflows and processes related to customer data and MarTech.
  • Monitor data quality within marketing technology products.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role does not have any direct reports but will lead the cross functional & external teams in advancing customer data and technical marketing campaigns.




QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related degree.
  • 2 or more years of experience in customer data and Marketing technology. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 2 or more years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Advanced SQL skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to find creative solutions to common customer data and MarTech problems.
  • Good business writing & presentation skills - ability to document and communicate technical requirements in an understandable and actionable way.
  • Passion for digging into information and solving technical problems.
  • Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation, or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
  • In Lieu of relocation this role can be performed remotely.
