THE DEPARTMENT:
The Performance Marketing Department manages all marketing communications for Helzberg Diamonds including TV, direct mail, email and online marketing channels. This team is responsible for increasing brand awareness, driving traffic to our stores and website, increasing lifetime value of our existing customers and gaining market share through acquisition of new customers. The department is a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to creating a consistent message across all tactics and a seamless multi-channel shopping experience for the Helzberg customer.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Insights Analyst is responsible for the targeting and analytics of Helzberg’s customers and marketing activities. The Customer Insights Analyst will be tasked with providing insights that increase the effectiveness of each marketing activity to grow customer acquisition and retention. This includes setting up appropriate test and controls, analyzing results and effectively communicating with leaders to ensure that changes are made based on those insights.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create reporting that measures effectiveness of each marketing channel with weekly, monthly and yearly trends.
  • Build reporting tools that show growth trends on acquisition and retention including deep dives into customer segments, product groups, and store concept.
  • Increase the ROI of marketing by identifying campaigns and channels that are performing well as well as those that are not meeting goals and KPI thresholds.
  • Partner with internal and external team members to execute statistically significant tests and report on results with strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and run ad hoc queries and reports to answer specific marketing and customer data questions.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure data is clearly defined and executed effectively for each marketing tactic.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role does not have any direct reports but will be responsible for managing external agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, statistics, mathematics or other related degree.
  • Two or more years of experience providing business analyses. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • SQL skills preferred
  • Strong statistical, mathematical, conceptual, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good business writing & presentation skills - ability to document and summarize statistical findings in an understandable and actionable way.
  • A passion for digging into information and understanding patterns.
  • Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
