POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web Designer is responsible for crafting visually compelling and user-friendly website designs that drive online sales and enhance the customer shopping experience with a mobile first view. This role focuses on creating responsive layouts, intuitive navigation, and engaging visual elements that align with brand identity, campaign style guides, and e-commerce best practices. The designer collaborates closely with creative team, cross-functional teams, and development teams to design high-performing landing pages, and a range of digital experiences that optimize conversion rates and ensure seamless functionality across devices. By leveraging emerging design trends, the designer continuously refines and elevates the online user experience to meet both creative and conversion goals.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce and performance marketing teams, to create responsive designs for mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Translate brand guidelines and marketing goals into innovative web design concepts that maintain consistency and elevate the brand identity.
  • Strong ability to follow seasonal campaign style guides and translate into various digital assets.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
  • Have a strong ability to present your work to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with UI/UX, and developers to ensure design feasibility and functionality, providing assets and style guides as needed.
  • Stay up to date on web design trends, tools, and best practices, integrating new techniques to improve the user experience.
  • Incorporate user feedback, analytics, and testing results into design updates and revisions to improve site performance and engagement.
  • Update existing web pages with new content, features, and designs as business needs evolve.
  • Ensure consistency in design across all digital platforms, aligning with brand standards and marketing goals.
  • Assist in creating assets for digital marketing campaigns, such as landing pages, banners, and other web-related graphics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in web design, preferably in an agency or in-house creative environment.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required.
  • A portfolio showcasing web and digital design projects required.
  • Experience working with Salesforce’s B2C Commerce feature, Page Designer, is a huge plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for collaborating with developers.
  • Proven experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices for web design.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions.
  • Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
