THE DEPARTMENT: The primary focus of Brand Marketing is to build brand value and reputation, attracting new customers to the brand and developing brand loyalists out of existing customers. Brand Marketing is proactive in developing strategies which will appeal to new customers and at the same time, solidify the loyalty of existing customers. A major function of Brand Marketing is to develop the Helzberg brand identity and to project this into the retail marketplace in engaging ways using products and services as proof points to support the brand’s promise. At Helzberg, the marketing channels for which brand content is developed leans heavily digital, but also includes traditional marketing channels. POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Media Coordinator supports the Helzberg Brand, Creative & Communications organization. This hands-on role supports the Social Media Manager and works in close partnership with the Content Creator. This role works collaboratively and cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Merchandise and Business units across the organization. This highly collaborative role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize based on business needs, and a strong understanding of the social landscape. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: The ideal incumbent will be forward-thinking, creative, attuned to the ever-evolving world of social media, and connected to consumer trends that resonate with our audiences. The Social Media Coordinator will support the Social Media Manager in end-to-end management of Helzberg’s organic social media accounts, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube (+ Shorts), LinkedIn. This role entails creation and execution of social campaigns and tactics, driving community engagement, and collaborating closely with brand, ecommerce, creative, customer care and merchandising teams to continually optimize our social efforts. Job Responsibilities: • Supports the development and execution of annual, quarterly, and monthly organic social plans, ensuring seamless implementation. • Responsible for social operations functions including scheduling, publishing, tagging products, etc. in addition to assisting with content planning, coordination and analytics as needed. • Maintains a strong understanding of organic social best practices, ongoing platform updates, requirements and opportunities. • Assists in developing and documenting Helzberg’s internal processes related to social strategy, content creation, internal and external approvals, publishing, community management, and social analytics. • Collaborates with cross-functional partners to coordinate product and associate/on-camera talent availability as needed for Content Creator to capture content. • Enthusiastic over Helzberg jewelry, jewelry style and education, product and marketing launches, and social strategies to ensure a culturally relevant, consumer-centric approach in all social efforts. • Assists Social Media Manager in writing customer-facing organic social copy in alignment with brand voice. • Assists Social Media Manager in delivering actionable performance analysis to inform channel and creative optimization. • Engages in proactive and reactive conversations with commenters as well as other brands to drive relevance (in partnership with Customer Care). • Comfortable working in social tool stacks (i.e. Dash Hudson, LinkTree, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree • 2-4 years of experience in a social media role; retail background preferred. • Social native with strong writing skills. • Strong understanding of marketing and social channels. • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. • Being team player is a must. This role will be a key partner to several cross-functional teams. • Ability to communicate well and receive feedback from internal stakeholders is essential. • Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
